How to Prepare for your Pet's Appointment
To ensure the best possible care for your pet, please follow these guidelines before your appointment:
Have Treats Ready: Keep your pet’s favorite treat nearby to make the appointment enjoyable.
Pre-Appointment Relief: If possible, allow your pet to relieve itself before the appointment.

Dr. Burkett truly cares about the work that she does. She takes the time to not only get to know the pet but also the person. She exudes both knowledge and patience. My 17 year old chihuahua displayed a marked change in health and behavior under the care of Dr. Burkett. His heart issues became more manageable after he started taking the herbal remedies prescribed by Dr. Burkett. He had the energy and agility of a much younger version of himself after acupuncture and chiropractic sessions. His appetite, enthusiasm, and energy greatly improved after switching him from a diet consisting of processed foods to fresh foods. Her knowledge and practice truly speaks for itself through the changes I have seen in my furry best friend that I’ve had since childhood. Without her expertise, I often wonder if I would have been afforded this extra time that I have with him. Thank you Dr. Burkett for all that you do and all that you are!

There are no words to convey adequately what this woman has meant to us. She treated us as family and was there for us no matter what time of day or night. She was the only thing that kept me going through my furbabies terminal illnesses. Her advice and knowledge base were invaluable to us. The knowledge that she prayed for us was the most valued. I would do anything for her. We would adopt her if possible. You will never find a more knowledgeable and well rounded veterinarian. Treasure her.

My two Westies love Dr. Burkett. They have been seeing her for both chiropractic care and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). Dr. Burkett is very gentle, and both dogs feel very safe with her during their adjustments. Both dogs are very active, and having regular chiropractic care keeps them in shape. I have complete confidence in Dr. Burkett’s care and advice

Dr. Burkett is one of the best veterinarians I have worked with in my career. As a veterinary radiologist, I have known Dr. Burkett since 2009 and collaborated with Dr. Burkett during her training, and then on many cases thereafter as a colleague.
She is a clinician that prioritizes your pets’ care with the utmost of compassion and intuition. Her knowledge, practicality, capability, and logic have always impressed me - so much so that I asked if she’d be willing to care for my beloved sport dog, a young adult Belgian Malinois-German ShepherdX, “Big Sur” for the treatment of a minor sport injury.
Dr. Burkett discovered a few areas where “Big” would benefit from a chiropractic adjustment and acupuncture (e.g head, neck, toes, and sacroiliac region). After a single session with her, there was considerable overall improvement in his performance, physical fitness, and general wellbeing improvement for about 8 weeks! I just wish she were closer to me for more frequent visits. Further, the visit with “Big” was so much fun for him. She handled him with poise, and he really thought he was actually working or in a fun training session during the adjustment and the acupuncture session such that there was no fear, angst, or aggression during the process.
She is so incredibly caring and talented; and she really has a sixth sense in reading your pet. Regarding the many cases we have collaborated on together, she brings her best and all these talents to dealing with some of the more challenging orthopedic, spinal and rehabilitation, and I often find she catches the things that perhaps her other peers may have missed. She is detail oriented but can see the big picture. She is conscientious of both pet and owner’s needs and thinks out of the box to create real solutions to difficult cases. I’m so glad and lucky to have her be part of my dog’s care team.

For many years I have been competing in various sports with my dogs. Dr. Burkett has played a key role in keeping my dogs healthy, happy and fit for competition. I trust her completely with the well-being of my canine athletes.
"I've had the privilege of knowing Dr. Burkett since veterinary school, where she was completing her Large Animal Surgery Residency. From our very first meeting, it was clear that she stood apart from other practitioners, not only for her exceptional veterinary skills but also for her remarkable bedside manner. Her ability to connect with animals and their owners is truly unmatched.
After nearly a decade in practice, I transitioned into opening a holistic veterinary practice, and Dr. Burkett has continued to be an invaluable mentor throughout this process. Her extensive knowledge in the field has been a guiding light as I navigate this new chapter in my career.
I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Burkett to anyone seeking compassionate, knowledgeable, and skillful veterinary care for their animals. She is a true asset to the veterinary community."
